Kylmäkangas

  • The Kylmäkangas Au-Ag deposit is the largest know gold occurrence in the underexplored Oijärvi Greenstone Belt located in central Finland.
  • The Kylmäkangas deposit hosts a NI 43-101 compliant Indicated and Inferred resource published in 2022, containing an Indicated Resource of: 1.07 Mt at 4.1 g/t Au and 35.4 g/t Ag (159 koz AuEq¹); Inferred Resource: 1.63 Mt at 2.7 g/t Au and 15.2 g/t Ag (152 koz AuEq¹).
  • The Kylmäkangas deposit is a shear-zone hosted orogenic gold deposit, with presently defined (i.e., drilled) mineralization occurring over a 1.5 km strike-length. The deposit is hosted within an Archean-aged succession of deformed and metamorphosed rocks including ultramafic to mafic volcanic rocks and biotite schists, that are intruded by quartz and feldspar-rich felsic intrusions. The host rocks are intensely folded, sheared and metamorphosed up to amphibolite facies. The deposit is located along the margin of the felsic intrusion.

1 Gold equivalent calculation used for Oijärvi, Kylmäkangas project:
AuEq. = Au grade + (Ag grade ∗ (Ag price/Au price))
The prices are based on the May 31, 2022 Long-Term CIBC consensus pricing for precious metals of US$1,657/oz Au and US$21.52/oz Ag
